Bloggers have long celebrated the joy of sneaking a daily dose of broth into their diets in unexpected ways, and the slightly savory flavor of the broth actually works to round out the sweet and bitter notes from the bananas, dates, coffee, and cacao nibs. The result? A perfect marriage of morning pick-me-up and nourishing, protein-packed goodness.
4 beef broth ice cubes (look for a broth with a pleasant flavor that isn’t too overpowering. I used Pressery Original Beef Broth with mouthwatering results)
1 frozen banana
1 cup coconut milk
1 shot of espresso, cooled to room temperature
1 tbsp cacao nibs
2 dates, pitted and chopped
½ tbsp cocoa powder
¼ tsp cinnamon
Freeze broth overnight into ice cubes
Blend ingredients until smooth
